BASKET BINGO PLANNED FOR OCTOBER 1ST
Chisholm Trail Elementary School, like most schools in this country, faces cuts in funding for essential programs. When approached by Park City Pride and asked what Pride could do to improve the situation, Principal Tammy Alexander said that one of the most important programs to be cut was the After School Tutoring Program. As a result, at its July meeting, Pride voted to fund the program for school year 2011-2012.
On October 1st, working with the PTO, Student Council, Park City Hi-Flyers 4-H Club, and school staff, Pride will hold a Basket Bingo at the school.
Suggested donation will be $5.00 for a packet of 30 games and the prizes will be themed baskets prepared with a value of at least $25.00.
The doors will open at 5:00 pm and games will start at 6. Refreshments will be available for purchase and there will be a raffle. All proceeds will be used to fund the tutoring program. If the total is not sufficient, Pride will make up the rest from the group’s treasury.
